Summer
Activities in Engadine
The smell of freshly cut grass in summer; fungi and fallen leaves in autumn: you’ll be amazed by the cultural variety and beautiful mountain landscape in Engadine!
Close to nature
The region’s Alpine landscape includes lush Alpine pastures, dense larch forests, winding valleys and impressive gorges.
The Engadine Scuol Holiday Region offers a wide range of possibilities for extensive hikes, mountain bike tours or leisurely walks on various panoramic routes.
The Swiss National Park is also very close (10 km). Nature has flourished here since 1914 without human interference in an area covering 170 km². The rich variety of flora and fauna can be experienced on an 80-km network of trails.
You can experience Engadine’s Romansch culture in Scuol and the surrounding mountain villages. The natural springs have made Scuol both a spa resort and one of the most well-known places in Lower Engadine. The lively village sill impresses visitors today with its authentic local way of life. The traditional Engadine farmhouses with their thick walls and individual ornamentation – so called ‘Sgraffiti’ – create a very distinctive village landscape.
Nearby Tarasp Castle, with its knights’ and banqueting halls, old bedroom and guest apartments, castle chapel and much more, is one of the popular attractions in Lower Engadine.
Winter
Holidays in Engadine
A snow-covered winter landscape, glistening white mountain villages, and ski slopes with a snow guarantee and warming sun terraces. The Engadine Scuol Holiday Region is an attractive and multifaceted winter wonderland.
Outdoor Activities
The family friendly Motta Naluns Skiing Area (1,250 to 2,785 m), with its 80 km of varying piste and valley descents, is located above Scuol. The international Silvretta Ski Arena in nearby Sammaun/Ischgel is also easy to reach. Incidentally, as a guest at Hotel Filli, you can take advantage of a Special Rate for the local Ski Pass!
But it’s not just downhill winter sports enthusiasts who enjoy the winter in Scuol. Lower Engadine has a long Toboggan Run (Prui-Ftan), an attractive network of Cross-Country Ski Trails and well maintained Winter Walking Routes through unspoilt villages.
Scuol also has professional companies offering snow-shoe treks and guided ski tours.
